DONNA

From Failure to Success: Donna's Journey to Passing NCLEX
Introduction

Donna is a 56-year-old nursing graduate who received academic awards at her nursing school. Despite being an exceptional student, Donna faced a setback when she failed her first NCLEX.

This was confusing for her and made her question her abilities. However, with the help of NCLEX On Point, Donna was able to develop critical thinking skills and acquire test-taking strategies that helped her pass the NCLEX.

In this case study, we will explore Donna's journey and how NCLEX On Point helped her overcome the challenges she faced in passing the NCLEX.

Donna's Initial Stuggle

After graduating from nursing school, Donna felt confident in her ability to pass the NCLEX. She decided to do self-study using Archer NCLEX materials and listening to NCLEX High Yield podcasts.

However, when she took the exam for the first time, she failed. This was a shock for Donna as she had always been an exceptional student and a fast learner.

Donna struggled to understand what went wrong and why she failed. She realized that passing the NCLEX exam required more than just studying hard. She needed guidance on how to approach the exam and tackle the difficult questions.

NCLEX On Point

A friend of Donna, a former mentee (and an NCLEX passer) of April Donalvo of NCLEX On Point, recommended that Donna reach out to April for help.

NCLEX On Point is an NCLEX coaching group started by April. Since 2021, NOP has helped over 300 nurses and NCLEX takers, with various NCLEX experiences and backgrounds, succeed using their proven NCLEX test-taking strategies.

Donna then reached out to NCLEX ON Point. With their guidance, Donna learned how to develop critical thinking skills and acquire test-taking strategies that would help her pass the exam.

NCLEX Coach April Donalvo provided Donna with personalized coaching and support. She also urged Donna to utilize Lippin and LaCharity resources. April helped her identify her weaknesses and develop a study plan that was tailored to her needs. She also taught her how to approach difficult questions and provided her with practice exams to help her build her confidence.

Donna's Success

With NCLEX On Point's guidance, Donna was able to pass the NCLEX on her second attempt. She felt confident and prepared when she walked into the exam room, knowing that she had the skills and knowledge to tackle any question that came her way.

Donna's success not only gave her a sense of accomplishment but also boosted her confidence as a nurse. She knew that she had the skills and knowledge to provide excellent care to her patients.

Donna credits her NCLEX success to God and April of NCLEX On Point.
